Lt. Cmdr. Burke graduated from Michigan State University in 2009 with a degree in Political Science and in Russian Language.
 
He commissioned at Officer Candidate School in November 2009 and reported to NIOC Maryland for his first tour where he qualified CWO / IWO and completed deployments on USS Miami and USS Boise as a submarine Direct Support Officer.
 
 In 2013 Lt. Cmdr. Burke reported to USS Forrest Sherman (DDG-98) and served as SSES Division Officer.  During this tour, Lt. Cmdr. Burke completed a COMFIFTHFLT deployment.
 
Lt. Cmdr. Burke reported to COMTENTHFLT in 2015 and served as an offensive cyberspace planner for JFHQ-C Navy.  During this tour, Lt. Cmdr. Burke completed his Master’s Degree from Penn State University in Cybersecurity and Information Assurance.
 
After completing his tour at COMTENTHFLT, Lt. Cmdr. Burke reported to Cryptologic Warfare Maritime Activity 61 to complete his O-4 Milestone as Direct Support Department Head.
 
Lt. Cmdr. Burke checked into Cryptologic Warfare Activity 67 in December 2020.  During this tour, Lt. Cmdr. Burke served in NSA’s Mission Engagement Requirements and Assessments office, where he finished his Joint Qualification.
 
He reported for duty as Officer in Charge, NIOD Groton in June 2023.
